We listen, act, and transform
I have an interpersonal approach, which means the focus of therapy is on the relational component of social engagement. Therapy is a commitment, for both the therapist and the client, to make life changes. As such, each individual is seen as their own expert. Solutions come from within, but sometimes assistance is required. I have worked in an inpatient hospital for over 7 years, supporting individuals with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, adjustment disorders, and addiction. I understand that co-occurrence of disorders is very common. Additionally, I have been working with those afflicted by addiction for over 15 years. My specific focus in on the relationship between addiction and mental health, with an emphasis on trauma. I primarily work 9:00 am until 6:00 pm (last session starts at 5:00pm)Tuesday through Friday, but will accommodate some differing schedules if possible. I am currently providing both in person and telehealth sessions. My building does not have wheelchair accessibility and the office is on the second floor.
